Raylene “Tutu” “Kumu” Haalelea Kawaiaea, 61, of Kapaau, died March 9 at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 3, 1950, in Honolulu, she was a Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center building facilitator, Hawaiian culture preserver, Na Huapala O Hawaii Halau O Haalelea Hula Halau founder and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints member. Friends may call at 1 p.m. March 17 at Kamehameha Park Gym in Kapaau for a 3 p.m. memorial service. Condolences may be sent in her memory to Maile Hawkins at P.O. Box 4994, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745.
