Raylene “Tutu” “Kumu” Haalelea Kawaiaea, 61, of Kapaau, died March 9 at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 3, 1950, in Honolulu, she was a Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center building facilitator, Hawaiian culture preserver, Na Huapala O Hawaii Halau O Haalelea Hula Halau founder and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints member. Friends may call at 1 p.m. March 17 at Kamehameha Park Gym in Kapaau for a 3 p.m. memorial service. Condolences may be sent in her memory to Maile Hawkins at P.O. Box 4994, Kailua-Kona, HI 96745. The family requests casual attire be worn. Lei are welcome. She is survived by sons, Lee (Amber) Lancaster, of Vallejo, Calif., Michael (Rachel) Lancaster, of Kapaau, Ikaika Lancaster, of Vallejo, Calif.; daughters, Maile (Michael) Hawkins, of Kailua-Kona, Luana Lancaster, of Kapaau; hanai daughters, Mele Pang, Uilani Lorenzo, both of Kapaau; mother, Elouise Yarrow of Fairfield, Calif.; father, Ray (Shayla) Kawaiaea of Haiku, Maui; brothers, Duane (Carol Ann) Yarrow, of Vacaville, Calif., Duke (Marla) Yarrow, of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; Jessica Lancaster, Kawena Sproat-Lancaster, Hauoli Sproat-Lancaster, Chyenne Book, Marrisa Lancaster, Lauren Hawkins, Haley Hawkins, Kamalani Lancaster, Hoku Lancaster, Leah Lancaster, Emma Lancaster, Mattson Lancaster. numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
